The MT Practicum is designed for psychologists and psychology students who want to learn more about athletes’ mental preparation and better prepare for working with athletes. The practicum is divided into 3 main areas (Motivation, Concentration, and Emotion Control). The mentioned areas are covered through theory and numerous practical examples by our mental trainers.
"We were working in a small group, so we could discuss topics individually with each participant. You made sure to strike a good balance between lecturing and interactive parts. There was an open space for personal engagement and reflection on the presented concepts through tasks assigned to us during the modules, as well as homework between modules. The modules were clearly presented, making them understandable to both a laic and a psychologist, i.e., a psychology student.
The things you mentioned seem relevant and applicable to me, and as an introduction to the work of a sports psychologist, they seem like parts of a well-rounded whole. I would like to commend you for incorporating visualization, breathing, and biofeedback exercises into the workshop. They were certainly useful and interesting to me, and I believe others share my opinion. My impressions are positive, and I think we all found it equally pleasant as it was useful. I hope we'll have the opportunity to collaborate in the future, and I appreciate the connections and experiences we shared through this workshop. I'm glad to have learned about Mental Training, and I commend your initiative to hold a workshop for psychology students."
"The entire workshop was filled with numerous practical examples that can greatly contribute to and improve working with athletes, but the presented techniques and exercises can also be applied in working with other groups. In addition to concrete examples and difficulties that athletes face, I was pleased that you generously shared how you solve such problems. The small group of participants allowed the instructors to answer all questions and actively guide us during exercises. In addition to the practical knowledge I gained that could help me in working with athletes, the workshop was also a great opportunity for personal growth. The instructors were engaged and involved and created and maintained a pleasant atmosphere. Clear, practical, and educational!"

"I am extremely satisfied with the entire practicum, the way it's organized, and how you conveyed your knowledge to us, both theoretical and practical. Firstly, I would say that you are extremely pleasant and likable instructors. It's very good that you encouraged communication during the lectures and asked for our opinions on certain topics we covered. I really liked that every now and then, after covering some theoretical parts, we immediately had short exercises, either individually or in groups. I think that's an excellent way for a person to remember certain things better and to get immediate answers if something is unclear. I believe I gained a lot of useful advice that I'm already applying to myself as an athlete and plan to use it outside of sports as well, and in the future when working with athletes. It's excellent that you have a questionnaire after each lecture for feedback. It shows that you care about the satisfaction of the people who attended the lecture and that you'll improve something, if necessary, in the future! Kudos for the presentation! You succinctly presented what's needed, and those GIFs enhanced the whole presentation. Very good idea!"
"I attended the Mental Training Practicum for psychologists a few years ago. I've always been interested in sports psychology, and I also studied it abroad, so upon returning to Croatia, I had the opportunity to participate in this education and see how our psychologist colleagues do it here. Luka and Sanja demonstrated excellent knowledge and, through very interesting workshops with numerous practical examples and exercises, brought questions of motivation, concentration, and emotions in sports closer to the participants. I would recommend this education to all psychologist colleagues interested in sports psychology who want to learn how to apply their expertise through practical examples."
"This Practicum for psychologists is something I would genuinely recommend to anyone interested in this field! Luka and Sanja are excellent instructors who provide clear answers to every question, accompanied by plenty of practical examples. The exercises we went through during the practicum were excellent and straightforward – to such an extent that I've used them on myself several times – during sports activities and in my free time. I must admit they have been helpful. There isn't too much theory because most psychologists are familiar with it from their previous education, but you get to try everything mentioned in the practicum, so you quickly get an impression of how easy or difficult it is to execute. Great concept and even better execution!"
Many of your colleagues have completed this education and have not regretted it. Most often, psychology students interested in the field attend, but we have also had several graduate psychologists from other fields.
If you’re not from Zagreb, don’t worry, we also conduct the education online when there are enough interested participants. So what are you waiting for? Gather your colleagues from college and sign up for the MT Practicum!
