Meet the Mentalni Trening team

We are not just psychologists. We are a team that understands sports from the inside.

Each of us is active in sports. We've all been where you are. And we're all working with one goal: to help you become mentally stronger.

Together we are a team that understands sport and lives it.

Each of us at Mentalni Trening was an athlete. We know the feeling of pressure before a competition, self-doubt, fear of making a mistake. And we all found the answer in psychology.

Luka started from scratch and built a reference name in sports psychology in the world. Sanja has moved from the role of a judge to the role of a sports psychologist – she understands athletes from both perspectives. Dora is an active member of the national team who lives a dual career – after training, she helps others to achieve success more easily.

Luka Škrinjarić - Founder & Sports Psychologist

“I wanted to make a living from sports psychology at a time when almost no one in Croatia was doing it. It was the only motivation I needed.”

Master of Psychology (Faculty of Philosophy, Zagreb). Active football and volleyball player in his youth. Founder and owner of the company Mentalni Trening. Worked with Ante Budimir, Borna Barišić, Ivana Habazin, Roko Leni Ukić, silver medalist Jelena Nikolić at the Rio Olympics and hundreds of other athletes. Since 2019, he has been actively working with global eSports organizations and since 2023, he has been an expert associate of the core team of the G2 Esport organization. Lecturer, columnist, panelist, guest of leading sports media. The man who proved that mental preparation is not a luxury, but an advantage.

Every time an athlete said, “Well, I’m not crazy enough to go to a psychologist!” – Luka took that as motivation. Today, those same athletes recommend him to others.

Sanja Vrančić - Sports Psychologist

“I’m living the job I wanted from the first day I heard it existed.

Sanja Vrančić is one of only 40 sports psychologists in Croatia. A Master of Psychology (Faculty of Philosophy, Zagreb), she joined Mentalni Trening as a student. To date, she has worked with more than 200 athletes from 35+ sports. A former football referee. Since 2023, she has been a member of the board of directors of the international organization of sports psychologists ENYSSP. She organizes conferences, conducts supervisions and collaborates with numerous sports psychologists outside Croatia.

Sanja is a passionate Manchester United fan who, according to her, regularly tests her mental toughness.

Dora Dragičević - Sports Psychologist

“I was fascinated by why a physically weaker athlete sometimes beats a stronger one. The answer was psychology. And I haven’t stopped since.”

Dora Dragičević is a special link in Mentalni Trening – and in sports psychology in general. A master’s degree in psychology who also lives what she talks about: she is an active member of the Croatian rowing team, bronze medalist at the 2023 World Cup, rowing coach and specialist in sports psychology.

Dual careers are not just a topic in her professional writings. They are her everyday life.

Dora wrote her master’s thesis on the emotional impact of training on rowers. She then became a national team member in the same sport. Theory and practice: literally the same person.
