The quizzes are inspired by sports psychology literature – topics include mental skills, coping strategies, motivation, and team roles. These are not formally validated psychological tests. A proper assessment always requires standardized instruments and the guidance of a licensed psychologist.

On an academic level: This is an orientational, non-diagnostic tool for self-reflection — it is not used for “labeling” and is based on general patterns rather than formal psychodiagnosis. The Athlete Type Quiz uses a simplified framework inspired by the 5C model of psychological skills (Commitment, Communication, Concentration, Control, Confidence) used in athlete education, but is not a substitute for working with a psychologist. The Mental Color Quiz draws on similar personality axes as the Big Five model (the only real “gold standard” in personality psychology), but in a sports-based, non-clinical format.

There are different mental profiles of athletes — each with its own strengths and blind spots. The quiz categorizes you into one of the types and explains what that means for your training and performance.

Quizzes are a starting point for self-reflection.
