If an athlete tells us that everyone loves winners, we first ask them:
Who is a winner in sports?
After numerous conversations, coaching sessions, and listening, we conclude that a winner is the one who fights and never gives up (as a 4-year-old boy once said).
The goal of Mental Training is to bring an athlete into a state that will enable exactly that – fighting without giving up. The goal is not to change the person, but to show them how to remain stable in important moments.
This attitude is universal and applies to all of our clients: from a seven-year-old girl to an elite athlete – an Olympian. All of them learn how to be the best they can be within the scope of realistic possibilities. They set realistic and challenging goals for themselves and fight every day to achieve them. And they never give up!
There are several important mental characteristics of elite athletes that we work on and develop as part of Mental Training. All characteristics can be improved and brought to the desired level through patient practice – that is, training with the support of mental coaches.
